Soccer Facility Enhancements - Feasibility Study

Clemson University
Clemson, SC

This scope of this study includes renovations and architectural enhancement to historic Riggs Field, as well as the creation of two new practice fields and an adjacent practice facility. The improvements to the Riggs Field facilities include the addition of visiting team locker rooms, concessions, restrooms and a "fan experience" center, as well as improved accessibility to stadium seating and amenities. The creation of a grand entry sequence from the west, as well as an accessible entrance from the east, is accomplished with two tower "pavilions" on either side of the grandstand which include vertical circulation elements to allow for access to the top of the stands. Flanking ramps provide access to the pavilions while carving out additional concourse areas for mobile concessions and a "wall-of-fame" for the display of the program's accomplishments. Additionally, graphic branding elements in the concourse enhance the fan experience.
