Garvin Design Group celebrates its 16th anniversary this week. Inspired to form a group that would provide creative, client-driven design solutions through more strategic project delivery methods, Scott Garvin established his firm in the historic Gervais Place building in 2003. Sixteen years later, Garvin Design Group is recognized throughout the state for great design, exceptional client service, and active community engagement.

From its first year, the firm has been committed to serving as a trustworthy and visionary guide through the design process, from initial programming and space planning through occupation of the building. An early track record of successful projects enabled the firm to rapidly grow from a team of six designing small-scale residences to a team of 20 designing multimillion-dollar projects throughout South Carolina and beyond. Several high-profile projects have enabled Garvin Design Group to contribute to development and revitalization in Greenville, Columbia, Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, among many other places. Some of the firm’s most recent projects include Halls Chophouse – Columbia, Hendrix, Hammond School Science & Innovation Center, Central Energy on the Bull Street campus, Terminix Headquarters, Hilton Grand Vacations’ Ocean 16, Hilton Club’s Liberty Place Charleston, Clemson University’s Penley Golf Club and Range buildings, and the University of South Carolina’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball facilities.

“We’re so grateful for 16 years,” Scott Garvin, President of Garvin Design Group, said of the firm’s anniversary. “My partners and I have been so fortunate to do what we love every day and to get to do it with such amazing people. We can’t wait to see what the next 16 years holds.”
