Located on Centennial Olympic Park Drive between downtown Atlanta’s Nassau and Walton Streets, Wyndham Destinations’ new dual-branded timeshare property literally mirrors the energy of the city. The tall glass expanses of the 21-story tower’s primary elevation reflect some of Atlanta’s most iconic attractions, including Centennial Park, The Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, CNN Center, the College Football Hall of Fame, and the Center for Civil and Human Rights. The building’s orientation and programming streamline traffic patterns through and around the site, encourage pedestrian interaction along adjacent sidewalks, and maximize views of the surrounding cityscape.
A full-service, fully branded Margaritaville restaurant and retail space offers seating for more than 370 along Centennial Olympic Park Drive. Garvin Design Group and The McBride Company worked together to create unique experiences within this large space. The outdoor dining area and large-scale operable glass walls give the restaurant indoor-outdoor flexibility and encourage pedestrian interaction. Second floor “cabana” bays also feature operable glass walls and project over outdoor seating below, providing an exclusive seating option unique to Margaritaville’s Atlanta location.
The primary lobby and concierge fill the remainder of the first floor and are accessible from two strategic entry points. Guests can use the street entrance at the corner of Walton Street and Centennial Olympic Park Drive, or the valet drop off that bisects the building at the ground level. This valet drop-off creates discrete connection between Nassau and Walton Streets within the bounds of the site. In-house sales and administrative offices fill out the remainder of the first and second floors.
The Atlanta resort represents a first for Wyndham and the vacation ownership industry: the building contains two distinct Wyndham vacation ownership brands, Club Wyndham and Margaritaville Vacation Club. Garvin Design Group teamed with Orlando-based International Hospitality design firm Design Poole to select building materials, fixtures and finishes that cleverly balance the two brands’ aesthetics throughout the property. Margaritaville’s standard units on levels three through seven and exude the brand’s signature sense of laidback bliss; Club Wyndham’s standard units on levels eight through 12 convey the modernity and sophistication associated with that brand’s identity. Equal numbers of larger, more upscale Presidential units occupy floors 14 through 22.
Guests get unparalleled views of downtown Atlanta and the surrounding areas on the 19th floor’s ownership amenity level. A fitness center, outdoor yoga area, a large-scale vegetated green wall, stainless steel pool, and pool bar provide an elevated cosmopolitan experience that makes this level of the building a destination in and of itself.
Wyndham’s new Atlanta resort balances the energy and excitement of the big city with the familiar comfort of being on vacation.
