Michael Caraballo

Architecture

 

Michael Caraballo is originally from Lexington and earned an Associate in Architecture from Midlands Technical College and a Bachelor of Architecture from Clemson University. He first joined Garvin Design Group in 2022 as a summer intern between his first and second years of graduate school. Michael completed his Master of Architecture at Clemson University in 2023 and earned the AIA South Atlantic Region’s Aspire Student Design Award.

Michael returned to Garvin Design Group as a full-time architectural designer in June 2023. His recent projects include renovations at USC’s Beaufort – Bluffton Library and the Women’s Basketball Locker Room, adaptive reuse of the Wachovia Bank & Trust Building in Winston-Salem, and renovations at Coastal Carolina University’s Wall Building.

Outside the studio, Michael enjoys seeking out new restaurants in the Columbia area and traveling throughout the Southeast.  He enjoys spending time at Lake Murray, hiking near Chattanooga, and roller skating, as he was a previous employee of a local skating rink.
